Kailyn is the last mom that will talk about. She is the mother of son Isaac. Kailyn is no longer with Issac's father and has recently given birth to another son Lincoln. She has been doing pretty well for herself she has written a book about her life and how her teen pregnancy in high school and the struggles that she faced along the way. She went through a lot at the being of her pregnancy with Issac from her family throwing her out to living with her ex-boyfriends family until she was able to get her life together enough to move out on her own.
All these girls have been through a lot and the show has documented their growth and their falls. With each season the viewers see the girl's growing up and see how far they have come since the day that they found out they were going to be teen moms. Despite the shows original purpose of being a way for young people to understand the struggles of being a mom at such a young age and using the show as an eye opener for the viewers, the show has a lot of controversial opinions on what the purpose exactly is intended for and what it displays. The controversy that arises about the show Teen Moms is that it may be encouraging young women to get pregnant. The argument is that the moms do have a lot handed to them and that the show made them famous. Studies have also shown that since the show started airing that the teen pregnancy rate has risen (Martins, Nicole, Jensen, Robin E."The Relationship Between "Teen Mom" Reality Programming"). The show can not be directly linked to it but it could be more than just a coincidence that the static raised. It is something that some people feel strongly against but other do not see it as a hindrance (Audrey, Jennifer Stevens, Behm-Morawitz, Elizabeth Kim, Kyungbo. "Understanding the effects of MTV's 16 and Pregnant" In my opinion I think that it is a show that draws people in with the drama. A lot of it is intensified by the producer because at the end of the day it is still a reality show, but it is also still the real lives of these mothers that have gone through so much. You can make a lot of things up but you can't make up the consequence and emotions that these mothers feel on a day by day basis. That is why I feel that people show give this show a chance, despite the negative publicity that can be attached to it you should really watch it before you allow someone else opinion to alter your own.
